Eco cards are units with local processing, designed with state-of-the-art technology and the highest quality standards.

Eco cards are used as control units for the Daedalus system. An internal database allows each Eco card to operate without a full-time connection with the rest of the system. These cards connect with each other forming a RS-485 control network.

Since this is the system's main card, it's the one to which expansion cards connect in a Daedalus network. Eco cards are capable of directly managing up to 4 card readers for access control of up to 2 doors, with all their components, 2 relay outputs, 3 IO cards and 2 RS-232 cards.

IO cards are expansion modules that connect to ECO cards, allowing the system to handle digital inputs and outputs.

Each IO card holds 8 digital inputs supervised for the connection of any type of commercially available standard-type sensor that provides a Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) digital output.

In addition, each card holds 8 dry contact digital outputs for the connection and operation of equipment or devices by ON/OFF signals.

Up to 3 IO cards may be connected to an ECO card, allowing for the administration of up to 24 digital inputs/outputs by Eco.

The power supply drives the cards (ECO and IO) at 13.8 VDC normal operation. Other elements such as sensors, electromagnets or any other device that works at the same power rating can be driven by the power supply as well.

In order to prevent posible system failures, exact calculations must be performed regarding the load that will be connected to the power supply since the maximum amperage supplied is 1.2 A.

In order to warrant the operation of the system in case of power failures, the power supply has the necessary connectors for a backup battery. Duration depends on how many elements are connected to the battery. Robotec also offers a charger for use when all power has been depleted from the battery.
